Getting started

I'll expand this based on questions people ask!

  • How do I add a new page?
    • Edit an existing page and add a link to the new page. A link to a page is its title enclosed in double pairs of square brackets.
    • Save the page. The link to the page will be shown in red, which means it doesn't yet exist.
    • Click on the new link and you'll be taken to your new page, ready to be filled in.
  • etc

Templates and snippets

These snippets of wiki code will help you get started on a page if you don't have much experience with a wiki. Go to the snippet page, click on the Edit button, copy the text from the code window and then go to your page and paste it in that page's code window - and you're started! In most cases, you'll just need to change the default text that is already there. Feel free to play around on a new page and use the preview button to see what things look like after you've changed them: the wiki editor will not change the actual page until you click on the Save page button so you can always abandon your changes if they go a bit haywire.

These are protected pages, so (in theory) you shouldn't be able to accidentally change them.

Snippet Notes
Default table set up Table rows are defined by "pipes". In this sample, there are four rows of four columns. You can add rows by copying/pasting an existing row: each table row includes the line containing the row start (a pipe and a minus sign) and a second line containing the actual text. You can add columns by adding extra "double pipes". Similarly, you can delete columns by deleting the double pipes and the text that follows.
Colouring You can colour table rows, text and so on by using styles. This snippet gives you the main colours.
